This was the view this morning after the snow starting melting off, but it's still pretty.
After a lot of misses for snow, we finally got a good one. We ended up getting 4 inches of snow in 6 hours. Danny said when the snow hit the bottom of the rails on the porch he would go for a walk with us. We ended up going about 2 miles, made some snowangels, which I haven't done in years, and took some pics with Amber and Danny. We then came home and later on Patrick came with us up the road to get some pics of us in front of some evergreen trees...the view was beautiful.

Then Amber decided she was going to go out and build and snowman, and that was around 1:00 on the 17th. Around 1:30 I decided to go out and help. Of course, I thought, this is gonna be easy. I've built snowmen before. Yeah, right...it's been a while. After having to put plastic bags over socks that we were using for gloves, our glasses fogging up, and it getting warm with the coats on, and almost falling millions of times, we finished the snowman 4 hours later. "HENRY" is as handsome as they come!
The bucket in front of "HENRY" was used to haul the snow from the yard to where we were working. Also, if you look on top of "HENRY's" head you'll see strings...they're actually strands of colored icicles from the Christmas tree that we used. The hat is held up by a small block of wood. We're looking forward to Friday and Saturday, there's another low coming up through the Gulf of Mexico the same way this last one did and it's forecast to have another 4-6 inches, depending on who you listen to. Will let you know what happens and post more pics if we get it. Patrick is happy....no school tomorrow, so they'll end up with 5 days off counting the weekend and MLK day on Monday.
