Congrats Brian and Patrick

Some of you know that Brian has been taking classes at the school board after he got in trouble during the first couple of months of school this year. Well after many weeks of missing it due to icy roads, heavy rain and freezing temps, snow advisories, the counselor being sick and Brian not having a ride a couple of weeks, he graduated the class. He was the first to do all 12 lessons and on this past Tuesday he got a certificate and cupcakes, which he shared with me!!! They were pretty good. He just got himself a new car on Tuesday, a 1993 Buick Roadmaster, a new job today at Rib Shack in Highlands, North Carolina, and he's going back to school next year at Crossroads at Rabun County High School to get his diploma. He might be graduating a year late, but he made the goal and he's reaching for it. He could have went ahead and taken the easy way out and got his GED, but he's going for the gold!!

Also, Patrick received an award today for excellence in Enviromental Science. This whole year he's been in ISS, (In School Suspension) for different things and he always says his teachers hate him, but when I received the letter in the mail on Wednesday, I was shocked to say the least. He did write an apology letter to the Asst. Principal and just how much of the 2 page letter was true and how much was BS is strictly between Patrick and his devious mind. This nightmare of a school year is almost over and I only can hope and pray that next year it will be a breeze!!!

Congrats you two on your excellent achievements this last week!!!!!
