Black Rock Mountain State Park

Last weekend we were going to go to Black Rock Mountain to see the leaves, but had to postpone it to this weekend instead. The wind was blowing and we knew that the leaves were going to fall fast, so we decided to go ahead and go today. Brian and Danny were working, so it was Amber, Patrick, Summer, and me. It was a beautiful sight....3446 feet up showing off some of Clayton and Tiger. The was the peak of leaf season and the sightseers, "leaflookers", were out, including us. Black Rock Mountains has over 1700 acres of hiking, camping sites, and cottages for rent. One of the highest peaks in Rabun County.

It's not to scale, but approximately where everything is.....Our house is 1 1/2 miles to the west of the school, WalMart is 1.7 miles to the South of McDonald's. All in all, Black Rock is about 15 miles from our house to the Visitor's Center at Black Rock
