A Birthday Party

Well, the party was in the planning stages for about a month...had the rec center rented, the party food all planned out, the people invited, and at the time it was going to be just Amber's party. Then I asked Brian if he wanted to have his there on the same day, asked Amber if it would be okay, and everything was set. Two specialized cakes were bought, TV, X-Box360, speakers, amp, and X-box controllers loaded in the truck while it was soggy outside..(seems like a repeat of last year and in January...has to be rainy and cold on birthday party days), and we went the mile to the rec center, dropped off Patrick, along with the cakes and he set everything up while we went to pick up Kendal and Brian and the goodies. Get back to the rec center about 11 a.m., party was supposed to start at 9 , but we figured Patrick would be there with the music, so all was well and good. We go in, Patrick has everything set up and he's listening to his music and not one person is there. For over two hours we listen to music, ride the skateboard, play basketball, and pig out, then Hope shows up. Hope, Amber, Patrick, and I played a game, listened to some music, ( I like the song, "I Like New York City"...have no idea why, catchy tune I guess), and pigged out some more. Gabby and Justin showed up about an hour later, (sorry Gabby, I don't have a pic of you,) we pigged out a little more, lit the candles, sang to them and then goofed off before Hope, Gabby, and Justin left. We had everything wrapped up a little after 5. I wish more people would have been able to come, but we did have a fun day.
