Hurricane Boogy

Hurricane Boogy started feeling bad about 5 days ago. Wouldn't eat like she normally did. She didn't want to play, she just wanted to lay in the sun and under the blankets. She loves her peanuts, so when Danny went to give her one the other day, she turned her head, just sitting in front of him on the floor shaking. I started getting concerned because she was vomiting and was really sick, so we called Kyle's Dad to see if he had a clue. As soon as I told him the symptoms, he told me the dreaded word Parvo. In puppies they don't have a good chance of surviving, actually only a 20% survival rate. There was no way we could afford the $1000 at the vet's office, so I told Mr. Smith there was nothing they could do, that we would try and force feed her liquids. I hung up feeling really bad. About 15 minutes later Mr. Smith called back and told me that he would give Kyle what we needed and he would be over later that afternoon to show us how to give her IV and her antibiotics. I hate doing it, but she is getting better. Last night she ate 1/2 of a pizza crust and today she was eating dumplings. (She's a baby human, she likes her human food). She is getting better. She has to stay in the laundry room for another 3 days, but she's allowed out to lay in the sun in the living room, which she loves. We thought we were going to lose her, but by the good graces of God, and Mr. Smith, it looks like she'll make it!

We love you Hurricane Boogy, (Princess), as Danny calls her, (Demon Dog), as Amber calls her, (Boogz), as Brian calls her, and (Boogy) as Patrick calls her. To me she's my Hurricane Boogy or Boo. I don't know what we'd do without her.
