Happy Easter

Amber kept reminding me over and over yesterday not to forget to get eggs and a coloring kit, so I went out and did just what she asked. Kendal and Kyle were over so I decided to wait until they were gone to start to color eggs. Well, Patrick was tired, Brian was tired, and Amber was tired, so I made them pick out colors they wanted and I told them I'd color for them. Amber must have felt sorry for me coloring 5 dozen by myself, so she decided to help. Well, halfway through the coloring process we decided to take food dye, which I normally use only on Ma N Pa's Eggs, and drop color on the top and see what happens....some turned out really pretty, and some I had to go back and make halfway nice....when you're getting sleeping, you really don't care what the color is! By the way, Mr. Clean with Febreze in a spray bottle is great for getting food coloring and/or dye off of countertops...wipes right off! This morning we had our annual Easter Egg Hunt...there was one minor disagreement when Brian saw an egg at the same time Amber did and decided to got it instead of Amber...thought I wrun for it and Brian as gonna have to call the egg "out of bounds" and rehide it for a second. Brian was the most excited and the winner. I was trying to figure out why there was an orange egg right by the front door when I knew for a fact I never put one there....turns out Paws the Cat decided to play along, take the one I hid under the porch railing and bring it to her food dish to play with. Amber came in second, and of course Patrick, who really didn't want to hunt eggs this year, came in third.
