Happy Birthday Dad....I know we couldn't be there, again, but you were thought of as you are everyday. You know, you were always patient with us kids growing up. You showed us how to do things by explaining it and showing it at the same time. How to do brakes, how to change tires, how to build things, painting things, ALGEBRA!!!!!, even putting screens in windows...which I'm really good at, by the way. Just wish we could have spent more time together, not that that was your fault, but us girls were always doing something, whether it was in our room, outside, getting in trouble, or pigging out while watching some sort of "How To" show on PBS. I was remembering when we were in Dayton one year with the red Audi and the fuel pump went out and there was me, Trish, Cassie, and Kenny in the car and we couldn't stop the car. I remember how you didn't seem at all nerve wracked. I've told the kids that story...it's one of the ones they love to hear. I remember the long drives we'd take and we knew when we were getting on your nerves....we'd hear, "You're irking me." It cracked us girls up. We always wondered what irking was, but now that I've got my own 3, I know exactly what it is....sitting at the dining room table and they get on their giggling spells...that's irking!
Just wanted to say, Dad, that you are the best Dad in the world! If I could do it all over again, I would want you to be my Dad!
I Love You....Happy Birthday
