Well, the evening started out as yet another fun evening with Patrick, Amber, and friends. They were hanging out and having a good time. Patrick decided he wanted to wrestle with Kyle, Amber's boyfriend, and it was all in good fun, which everyone knew. Then it went downhill from there. A total of 5 guys, all in their 30's decided to start beating on Kyle and Patrick. Then punching wasn't enough, and they started kicking. Patrick came into the bedroom at 1:45 in the morning screaming the he had just been beat up, that he needed help. He lay on the couch with his head on my lap asking me why this had to happen, that he wasn't a bad person, that he didn't like to fight. Anyone who knows Patrick, knows those things. It broke my heart seeing him cry and try to hide it from me. He wasn't crying because of the pain, he was crying because he couldn't understand why people would do this to him. He ended up going to the hospital and having Xrays and a CT scan done. When the report came out in the paper, they had it wrong, so it was redone. All we're doing now is waiting on hospital bills so we can get Patrick's bills paid. He didn't press charges on him, but he will go to court to get his bills paid. Both of his lip rings are out, one was broken out, the other was taken out at the hospital. There was a cut under his one lip ring where his tooth cut through his lip. It's been almost 3 weeks since it happened and his face only has a trace of a bruise under his left eye, and all of the yellowish bruising and the swelling has gone down. He did learn a valuable lesson that night, and he's stuck by his promise that he made to me.
