I remember my Dad as always being there when you needed someone to build something, to talk to, to answer endless stupid questions, and when you needed something for a school project, he was the first one to pitch in. He taught me how to write a proper term paper, and the subject was "The B&O Railroad", and in those days, no computers, encyclopedias were the main thing to read out of, and Dad had a lot of those. Reader's Digest fact books was also a good place to research things in. I remember when he brought home our first video game...an Atari 2600...Pole Position was our favorite, but whoever had the 2nd controller, could almost never win the game. He painted a shuffleboard court on our driveway for us girls to have fun, he let us help put in the floor for the Florida Room, and so many other things he's done, too many to mention. Never complaining when we had the music too loud, singing at the top of our lungs to "We Are The World" when it came out, or maybe he just put it out of his hearing.
Anyhow, I love you Dad. Happy Father's Day. To Pop and Jules, too, ya'll might not be my father, but you are loved very much just the same!
