Danny came home from work early today and decided that it was way too hot in the house and we were going to go to the Chatooga River to cool off and swim. Amber was ecstatic...she's always on the lookout to swim, Brian was happy, Patrick decided he wanted to stay home. He informed me he doesn't like the Chatooga River. (The Chatooga River is where they filmed some scenes in the movie Deliverance with Ned Beatty and Burt Reynolds, and it's about 12 miles away in South Carolina...right on the South Carolina and Georgia border to be precise.) We stayed there for about 4 hours...water was cool, and it was fun watching the groups come down in rafts and kayaks...hearing the screams as they went through the rocks and over the "waterfall". As we left, it felt like my legs weighed 50 pounds a piece...talk about feeling waterlogged! We walked through the path in the rocks, up the rocks, through the pathway, and up the blacktop...actually up a hill covered with blacktop....and let me tell you, walking that last few yards was a KILLER! Anyhow, we had fun, cooled off, and, as you can see in the pics, Danny had fun. He was teaching us how to walk properly!! LOL
