R.I.P Mom Dowdal 5/4/32-11/26/10

It is with great sadness I say good-bye to Danny's Mom. She passed away on Thanksgiving Day. Mom was a pistol. Had a great sense of humor, a way to hold a grudge, always spoke her mind, and had such a capacity for love. She loved her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren. No one was prepared here for her to pass away so suddenly. She had Alzheimer's Disease, and we knew she was getting worse and worse a little at a time as the days went by. She had a really bad spell in August and no one that she would make it, but she pulled through, and, like a miracle, came out stronger, it seemed. Pop called a few days before Thanksgiving and when Danny asked about his Mom, was told by Pop that she was doing good. Mom went to sleep on Thanksgiving and died peacefully as she slept. I'm glad she didn't suffer, but instead left a family that is suffering instead. Pop called us tonight and told Danny what happened. Her children, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren will always love her, remember her, and wish she was here. We'll know that she is looking down instead and we'll try to take comfort it that.
