You never know just when life is going to end...whether that person is a child or an adult that's had his fill of life and wants to go Home. What you don't expect is someone who is full of life and trying to get his life on track. That's what happened to Brian's friend Dalton. He was 17, full of life, trying to get his life back, living on his own and trying to fix up his own house. We had went to the Christmas parade on Dec. 1 and Brian and Dalton had talked for a while before the parade. Afterwards they talked a little more before we had to go. I would have taken him home except there was no room in the car and he seemed to have a ride at the last minute. Brian had said that it seemed like Dalton was on track and it was good to talk to him again. Brian's friends Joe and Johnny went over to Dalton's house on Friday morning , the 7th, because he wasn't answering telephone calls. They saw him lying on his couch and they kicked the door in. They found him dead on his couch. Brian has had people in his life already pass away, but not a friend only 17. He doesn't know quite what to think. We are sorry that we didn't get to know Dalton more and we're even more sorry that Dalton won't be around to live a life that should never have ended so soon. Rest in peace, Dalton, you wil be missed.
