Dixie cannot stay in her cage. I've nailed boards up, I've put shelving across it so she can't pull herself up, and she still gets out. Within 3 minutes of putting her in she's already sitting by the front door. Granted, she knows she can't come in, but she likes aggravating Hurricane into making her bark! On the other hand, she made a friend, I think. We got Black Beauty some oats and spread them across the ground to let her lay on something better than the hard, muddy ground. Beauty went ahead and made herself a small bed underneath a piece of plywood to keep her in the shade at times when it's sunny. Dixie goes into the pen and was laying on the other side of Beauty, until today....she took Beauty's spot when I was feeding her her bottle. Then she wouldn't move. She looks at Beauty and barks until Beauty goes away and Dixie lays down curled in a ball. Well, I went ahead and put Dixie in her cage tonight, just so Beauty could lay down, and I was hoping that since it was so cold that Dixie would stay in her wooden doghouse.....NOT. While Beauty was laying down, Dixie came over to her and sat beside her, enough for me to get some pics of them together. When Brian and I came back from the store 25 minutes later, Dixie had Beauty's spot and Beauty was walking around. I'm just wondering if that makes them friends.

Now on the other hand Beauty has a good relationship with Paws. Paws will lay beside Beauty, or when I feeding her, Paws will walk around the cage on the railings. A couple of times they've actually showed affection to each other, as witnessed below.
