Happy 18th Birthday Patrick....
So hard to believe that you are now a "real" adult. Seems like yesterday that Dad was chasing you around the yard, through the house, back through the yard again, just to get you to take your grape medicine....or how you made sure to have your "Moxilan" before you went to bed when you had your bouts with Scarlet Fever. You and Dad were "best buds" for the longest time before you were old enough to go to school. Where he went, you went...I couldn't keep you at home. Your first day of school, you couldn't wait to go, tried on 5 different outfits the night before and when you decided which one you were gonna wear, you made sure we liked it. You got your independent streak fast though...both you and Brian decided you were gonna do things your way...like setting things on fire in the back, where I couldn't see. But see a Mom's instinct kicks in really quick when kids go really quiet for too long! You gave me quite a scare though...jumping off Dad's shed roof with your skateboards, swinging off the playhouse on the palm fronds, and I really don't want to know what life threatening positions you put yourselves in when I was at work.
You weren't a hard child to raise...you mostly listened, and when you were tired, you fell asleep, no matter where you were. Your favorite movies when you were little were Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and The Santa Clause. Your favorite foods when you were little was grilled cheese and mac and cheese, and pizza. Your favorite color was red. If you couldn't spend all your time with Amber and Brian you would cry and say it wasn't fair. You're still very easy going, but you need to quit holding everything inside of you and let people know how you feel.
I know you hate your nickname, but you'll always be Fuzz to me and Dad. You'll be nearing 50, and I'll still call you Fuzz.
We love you very much Patrick....Happy 18th.
